Clarksons in Bethesda seeks a talented Broker to negotiate and fix spot cargoes and allocate contract cargoes to ships to maximize revenue within the prevailing market conditions. You will work with vessel owners and both Government and commercial clients to coordinate humanitarian, military, and project cargoes.

You will drive revenue, market tonnage, negotiate charters, prepare offers to US Government agencies, and coordinate with chartering and operations to maximize voyage results.

Competenze

• Previous experience with broking.
• US Jones Act experience.
• Experience with government agencies advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Mansioni

• Drive revenue and develop client base.
• Market tonnage to customers/shippers/charterers.
• Negotiate spot/time charters to maximize income.
• Prepare and submit offers to US Government agencies.
• Coordinate allocation of cargo to ships and services.
• Ensure efficient space utilization and voyage performance.
• Maintain voyage records and market knowledge.
