Job summary

Atlas Logistics, a division of Atlas World Group, is seeking a Freight Broker to manage mid-level operations, secure shipment coverage, and optimize transport pricing. You will maintain system data, build carrier relationships, and coordinate with the STG to improve backhaul strategies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with education and 2–4 years’ related experience required. Benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics operations (2–4 years).
• Knowledge of TL, LTL, and freight pricing structures.
• Strong carrier negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as TMW.

Responsibilities

• Secure coverage for scheduled Atlas Logistics TL shipments with rate optimization.
• Maintain accurate data in systems like TMW and Atlas Net.
• Identify and engage new carrier partnerships for competitive advantage.
• Monitor shipments and communicate issues to clients to mitigate disruptions.
• Collaborate with Strategic Transportation Group to develop backhaul solutions.
