Allient Inc. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, seeks a Global Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing across Wisconsin, Texas, Mexico, and China.

The role directs plant operations, coordinates cross-functional teams, and ensures on-time delivery, quality, and cost control from the Oshkosh site outward. The ideal candidate has 5+ years leading large factory operations, a strong engineering background, and proven success in global manufacturing with lean initiatives and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering required; advanced study in Operations Management or Business Administration preferred.
• Strong technical foundation in electrical engineering (preferred) or mechanical engineering (secondary).
• Minimum 5 years leading a large factory operation (150+ employees) or multiple facilities; ideally 7–10 years of progressive responsibility in manufacturing or operations management.
• Proven success in a multi-plant or global environment, driving lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost efficiency.
• Track record of managing high-volume production lines/cells across diverse operations.
• Experience managing international facilities strongly preferred. Travel 6–10 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate plant operations through the Wisconsin Factory Supervisors and the Operations Managers of Texas/Mexico and China to meet schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
• Support labor relations activities, including contract compliance, performance management, and grievance resolution.
• Ensure optimal staffing and productivity; analyze interruptions and implement corrective actions to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, and Cost Control to align manufacturing with corporate goals and drive lean programs.
• Oversee operating expense budgets and participate in executive planning and development of strategic initiatives.
