Job summary

Husco, located in Waukesha, WI, is seeking a Project Manager-Machining to bridge engineering, operations, and supplier partnerships from concept to production. You will lead critical launches, drive manufacturing capability across the global supply base, and serve as a technical resource in machining and process development.

The role focuses on ensuring quality and launch success through APQP/PPAP, process validation, and rigorous problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, casting launch, heavy machining, or related leadership.
• Strong communication, planning, issue resolution, and global collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, process capability, dimensional control, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier development for new product launches from design release to production.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Drive launch readiness activities including APQP, PPAP, process validation, and ramp-up.
• Provide technical leadership in machining, casting, tooling, fixturing, and process optimization.
• Assess supplier capabilities, identify risks, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Supplier Quality to resolve challenges.
• Analyze production and quality data to drive corrective actions and long-term improvements.
