Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a Supplier Manager to partner with Engineering, Procurement and Sourcing to shape the machining supply base strategy. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Machining Category Management and lead strategic supplier engagements.

The role focuses on driving category strategy, supplier performance, dual sourcing, and continuous improvement, with up to 25% travel. A mechanical/industrial background and CPIM/APICS credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical engineering, business, or supply chain; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of supplier management experience in machining or related field.
• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the machining category strategy with cross-functional partners.
• Serve as the single point of contact for key strategic globally managed suppliers.
• Improve supply chain efficiency and resolve dynamic problems affecting the business.
• Negotiate lowest total cost of ownership, lead times, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead master supply agreement creation, review, negotiation, and monitoring.
