Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Motor Grader engineering team in Peoria, IL. You will lead a 15–20 person group, owning the development of and adherence to the yearly R&E budget, while ensuring cost, schedule, and quality targets for NPIs.

The role emphasizes Lean Product Development, continuous improvement, and global collaboration with Product, Powertrain, Software, and Validation teams to deliver strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Ability to collaborate across worldwide teams to drive results.
• Knowledge of Lean Product Development with emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Experience leading teams of 15–20 direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for and management of the Machine Integration, System teams.
• Develop Motor Grader R&E budget and manage to the budget.
• Maintain worldwide engineering footprint to meet 10-year plan.
• Execute on time, cost, and quality requirements.
