Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the United States is hiring a Director, Global M&A, Strategy and Business Development to lead the inorganic growth agenda and coordinate with senior leaders across Strategy, Product, and Commercial teams.

This role reports to the VP, Head of Global M&A and focuses on acquiring targets, due diligence, and developing acquisition cases with a base pay range and potential annual incentive.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of post-MBA strategy consulting, private equity, investment banking or corporate finance experience with a top-tier firm.
• Deep knowledge in market research, analytics, or data science within complex industries such as financial services, insurance, transportation, or energy
• Experience with inorganic strategy projects such as Commercial Due Diligence for acquisitions or corporate development
• Familiarity with M&A processes and corporate finance (valuation)
• Structured & logical thinking with ability to develop strong, well-supported recommendations
• Proficient in quantitative analyses and modeling in MS Excel; strong PowerPoint and Word skills
• MBA and undergraduate STEM or business education preferred
• Executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects to identify priority acquisition areas and devise acquisition hypotheses.
• Collaborate with LNRS Strategy, Product, and commercial leaders to identify growth areas.
• Monitor market developments through research, conferences, and industry news.
• Assess opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Summarize analysis and recommendations in presentations and papers.
• Develop and maintain the global acquisition pipeline and manage relationships with targets.
• Gather information via desk research and interviews; evaluate targets.
• Support leadership in nurturing relationships with top priority targets.
• Develop acquisition cases including revenue synergies and managing external CDD providers.
• Present acquisition cases to senior leadership and draft internal review documentation.
• Manage diligence workstreams and align around implications and path forward
