Job summary

Chromalox, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to plan and coordinate import/export activities, domestic shipments, and related documentation. The role involves liaising with brokers, CBP, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely shipments.

The candidate will manage bids, schedules, and routing, while supporting continuous improvements in quality and efficiency. A strong attention to detail and team collaboration are essential, with safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2–3 years of related import/export/shipping experience.
• Knowledge of import rules, export regulations, and hazardous materials handling.
• Experience with customs regulations and international trade.
• Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, databases.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and process instructions.

Responsibilities

• Solicits bids for export/import shipments and negotiates pricing and service.
• Acts as intermediary with brokers, importers, and CBP agents for documentation and distribution.
• Coordinates ocean, air, ground, and other transport methods with foreign buyers and internal teams.
• Ensures timely shipment documentation, packing and shipping requirements are met.
• Maintains accurate shipping records and provides customers with status updates.
• Operates equipment used to prepare products for shipment and uses shipping programs.
