Job summary

Openwork is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support a global logistics and transportation client, coordinating domestic and international shipments and managing customer accounts to ensure smooth movement of bulk liquids, food products, and gases.

You will work with carriers and internal teams to track shipments, resolve issues, and maintain accurate documentation while seeking efficiency gains and cost reductions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's preferred
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required
• 1–3 years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean freight and truck transportation shipments
• Manage customer accounts and provide exceptional customer service
• Resolve shipment-related issues through timely communication and follow-up
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
• Process invoicing and transportation-related charges
• Monitor shipment status and service levels
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in company systems
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
