General Tank Containers is a growing international logistics company specializing in ISO tank container transportation for chemical and gas products. We work with manufacturers, shipping lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, and logistics partners to deliver safe and efficient transportation solutions across global supply chains.

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Coordinator to support daily transportation and customer operations from our office in The Woodlands, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, customer interaction, shipment coordination, and working in a fast‑paced international logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment bookings, transportation arrangements, and cargo movement activities.
• Communicate with customers regarding orders, shipment status, delivery schedules, and transportation updates.
• Track shipments and proactively provide customers with timely updates throughout the transportation process.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, and related logistics documentation.
• Enter and manage receivable and payable expense information within company systems.
• Coordinate documentation and communication with overseas agents and business partners.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide professional, responsive service.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues, shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and service concerns.
• Handle customer complaints and disputes with a focus on achieving positive outcomes.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate operational issues to internal stakeholders as needed.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, sales, and finance teams to ensure successful execution of shipments.
• Support additional logistics and operational projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Import/Export Trade, Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, import/export, shipping, or supply chain operations.
