Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in domestic and export logistics, freight forwarding, or international trade operations.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, weekends as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical skills to find variances in reports
• Works well in a team environment and adapts to change easily
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal teams, external vendors, and international customers.
• English/Spanish written and verbal bilingual skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and professional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Create contracts and keep customers/brokers informed of the order status.
• Request and collect necessary documentation from customers to avoid delays.
• Schedule shipments aligned with customer requirements and production timelines.
• Coordinate trucking and freight appointments with carriers and customers.
• Book freight through shipping lines or freight forwarders and confirm arrangements.
• Enter and process shipping and trucking instructions using SAM and Grower Direct Portal.
• Prepare and file AES and shipping instructions; verify Bills of Lading.
• Schedule and prepare for Phytosanitary inspections as required.
• Ensure export requirements are met, including COAs, Phyto, and treatments.
• Generate and review all shipping documents: invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin.
• Distribute final documentation packets to customers, brokers, and banks.
• Maintain accurate digital and physical documentation files.
• Research documentation requirements for destination countries and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate domestic and import inbound shipments when necessary.
• Provide support for brokerage business.
• Maintain off-site shipments and accurate inventory records.
• Assist the scale house and shipping department with inquiries.
• Follow Grower Direct Nut Co. regulations and food safety guidelines.
• Establishes and ensures adherence to procedures and standards.
• Follow up with internal teams to align with schedule deadlines.
• Collaborate to proactively address delays or bottlenecks.
• Cross train between domestic and export desk for versatility.
