Job summary

Expeditors Nashville is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Customs Brokerage to identify customer transportation needs and ensure timely, compliant movement of freight and information. You will link customers, providers, and government agencies to support uninterrupted supply chains.

You will review documents, submit customs entries, coordinate bookings, monitor statuses, and maintain accurate data in systems while communicating proactively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customs brokerage, international transportation, freight forwarding, or global logistics operations.
• Understanding of import and export documentation requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capability to prioritize.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, prepare, and process transportation, customs, and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare and submit customs entries while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate transportation orders, freight bookings, and shipment scheduling.
• Monitor shipment status and customs clearances; communicate updates to customers.
• Enter and maintain shipment and customs information in operating systems.
• Dispatch freight timely to prevent disruptions in supply chains.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, airlines, and customs authorities.
• Review and monitor operational reports to identify improvements.
• Execute customer invoicing according to SOPs and tariffs.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and service providers.
• Ensure activities comply with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Meet or exceed KPIs and escalate issues per guidelines.
• Seek process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Escalate issues to management when needed.
