Expeditors in Tennessee is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to identify and understand customer transportation needs. You will receive, book, and schedule transportation orders to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will collaborate with customers, carriers and Expeditors offices, monitor shipments from pickup to delivery, enter data accurately, and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service for internal and external customers.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and Expeditors offices.
• Proactively communicate shipment updates, exceptions, and solutions.
• Follow customer-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Review shipment requirements and transportation needs.
• Create and process domestic transportation shipments.
• Coordinate freight movement and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Resolve shipment exceptions and service issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Expeditors operating systems.
• Monitor exception reports and resolve data discrepancies.
• Process customer invoicing accurately and promptly.
• Verify carrier costs and ensure proper billing provisions.
• Follow credit approval processes to minimize financial risk.
