Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Logistics Coordinator based in Houston, TX. This role focuses on ensuring international shipments comply with policy, laws, and contracts while calculating tariffs, duties, and conversions for goods moving across borders.

Responsibilities include coordinating transports, negotiating terms, preparing transport documents, and liaising with internal teams and customers. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of shipping regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a logistics coordinator.
• Excellent Excel skills including basic arithmetic formulas, IF formulas, COUNT, VLOOKUP, sorting and auto filters, pivot tables and charting.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in supply chain, inventory, shipping and receiving, customer service, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate transports with approved carriers.
• Negotiate prices and terms for transports.
• Prepare shipping documents and invoices for customs.
• Communicate with planning, store, and project teams and with customers and transporters.
• Track orders to delivery and ensure PODs are available for invoicing.
