Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage freight forwarding operations from the Paarl office, handling domestic and international shipments. The role centers on coordinating shipments, liaising with carriers, managing documentation, and solving logistical challenges to meet client demands.

You will optimize delivery times and costs through strong organizational and communication skills, with opportunities for international travel and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of international shipping procedures and Incoterms.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track the movement of shipments via various modes of transport.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, and trucking companies to book space and negotiate rates.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Monitor shipments, identify potential delays, and proactively implement solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and trade laws.
