Job summary

Flex is seeking a Logistics Coordinator (1 year fixed term) based in Kendal to support UK dispatch processes and occasional import/export activities for Flex’s UK sites. The role requires close collaboration with Production, Planning, Projects, Procurement and Sales, and with Clients, Freight Forwarders and Customs Agents.

The successful candidate will manage outbound/inbound deliveries, ensure accurate shipping docs, and help improve transport efficiency while maintaining records for compliance.

Qualifications

• Some Logistics/Administration experience.
• Ability to use Excel at Intermediate level.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• High level of speed and accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
• Efficient at organising and maintaining electronic documentation.
• Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control all outbound and inbound deliveries.
• Ensure the accuracy of shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Production for collections and deliveries.
• Arrange and manage transport and logistics cost-effectively.
• Liaise with clients to meet delivery requirements.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Raise Purchase Orders and maintain records for customs and HMRC audits.
• Prepare weekly/monthly logistic KPI reports.
