Placements24 is recruiting a proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods for FMCG operations in East London with a hybrid work setup.

You will coordinate transportation, warehousing and distribution, manage carrier relationships, track shipments and resolve issues to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. This role supports cross‑functional teams and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of transportation management, warehousing, and distribution principles.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model and manage responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and pickup.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation carriers.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery progress, and proactively address delays or issues.
• Optimize logistics routes and modes of transportation to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipping documents and inventory levels.
• Liaise with internal departments (sales, warehouse, customer service) to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Assist in managing warehouse operations and inventory control as needed from East London .
