Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an International Coordinator to support the distribution center’s global supply chain by planning and executing international outbound shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinating cross-functional activities.

This role acts as the primary liaison with international customer service teams, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to achieve on-time, accurate, and cost-effective international distribution.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in international logistics, global trade compliance, or distribution center operations.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and HS classification.
• Experience with SAP and data analysis (Excel; SQL or similar a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to manage documentation and regulatory requirements for international shipments.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate international outbound shipments (air, ocean, road, rail).
• Provide estimates of customer orders.
• Prepare and verify international documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, origin certificates, HS codes, Incoterms).
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and 3PLs to obtain rates and track shipments.
• Maintain accurate data in SAP; monitor shipment status and KPIs (OTD, damage/loss).
• Develop and implement SOPs for international logistics.
• Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety policies.
