Qualifications

• Five or more years of related experience in transportation/logistics.
• Haz-Mat certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience negotiating rates with freight forwarders and preparing rate analyses.
• Experience working with international freight forwarders, air/ocean transport, container loading, and claims processes.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies, onboards, and manages performance of transportation carriers, ensuring compliance with standards and service expectations.
• Builds relationships with freight forwarders and vendors to optimize rates and services.
• Manages freight cost through rate negotiations, formal RFPs, and lane optimization worldwide.
• Escalates non-routing issues to Export Specialist and Logistic Clerk; resolves cargo issues.
