Garrison Logistics Chattanooga is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to ensure freight moves from origin to destination and to manage carrier relationships. You will negotiate routes and rates, coordinate from pre-pickup through delivery, and provide updates to customers and carriers.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and knowledge of basic logistics concepts. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chattanooga, TN.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills over phone, email and in person.
• Ability to prioritize workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Ability to perform basic transit time calculations.
• Experience or knowledge of trucking industry a plus.

Responsabilités

• Ensures freight moves from origin to final destination and negotiates carrier rates.
• Manages transportation arrangements from pre-pickup through delivery.
• Communicates with shippers, carriers, and teammates; builds carrier relationships.
• Handles issues such as claims, detention, OS&D, layovers and breakdowns while updating the brokerage board.
