Job summary

The Shyft Group in Carson, CA is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to optimize the transportation network by managing external providers, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

You will lead cross-functional processes, monitor 3PLs, coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, and develop metrics to improve gross margins while supporting inventory and procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics operation and in the transportation industry (domestic and international).
• Certification in Transportation and Logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct team activities to meet goals cost-effectively.
• Manage and oversee departmental processes, procedures, and policy decisions.
• Lead projects that improve logistics activities and reduce costs.
• Act as primary contact for day-to-day transportation support including freight movements.
• Coordinate inbound shipments to optimize cost, lead times, and on-time delivery.
