Job summary

EVNTIV, a St. Louis-based event planning and entertainment agency, seeks a Technical Manager to lead A/V and scenic elements for events, meetings, and programs worldwide. The role reports to the Technical Director and collaborates with leadership, sales, and Project Managers to specify, order, and manage A/V components.

The candidate will draft diagrams, coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and ensure quality and safety across diverse venues, with on-site oversight for events.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in event production or entertainment industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web research
• Experience with CAD programs Vectorworks and Microsoft Visio

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers to define equipment specs
• Draft room diagrams using CAD/Visio/Vectorworks
• Coordinate event supplies, set design, and installations
• Ensure equipment placement meets client needs and quality standards
• Manage bids and contracting with A/V vendors
• Oversee budgets and seek cost savings in quotes
• Communicate pricing changes to Project Managers during projects
• Interface with venue managers and understand union guidelines
• Develop vendor relationships and manage project documents
• On-site execution of technical elements and event support
