Job summary

Netflix, Inc. seeks a Live Broadcast Operations Engineer to manage day-to-day global live-streaming operations. You will coordinate with the Live Streaming Pipeline Engineering Team, Production, and Reliability teams, guiding initiatives from planning to launch and ensuring scalable, reliable delivery.

You will lead technical plans, troubleshoot audio/video issues, and work across on-site and cloud-based infrastructures to keep Netflix live on the cutting edge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of broadcast remote operations experience (coordination/supervisory).
• Experience with video transport protocols and distribution formats.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python).
• Unix-based systems, shell scripting, and SQL knowledge.
• Comfort with cloud-based and on-premise video infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute live-streaming events across stakeholders.
• Collaborate with contractors and engineers for transmission planning.
• Maintain partnerships with transmission vendors and hardware providers.
• Organize venue infrastructure maps for communications across teams.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report video/audio infrastructure issues.
• Monitor cloud and hardware video infrastructure and improve workflows.
• Support ground ingest capabilities and signal acquisition/validation.
