Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP in the United States is seeking a Business Development Senior Specialist for Global Litigation & Trial to drive BD strategies across major litigation practice groups. The role reports to the BD team and works with lawyers, marketing, and other support teams.

Located in SF, Silicon Valley, Downtown LA, NY, or DC with possible hybrid schedule, the role emphasizes research, market trend analysis, client development, and collaboration to identify opportunities and prepare

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of relevant business development experience and related analytical experience.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working within litigation practice areas at a law firm.

Responsibilities

Stay abreast of developments and trends at the intersection of litigation and technology, and remain informed of all major new clients and matters.
Provide research, analysis, and reporting to support identification and development of new clients and enhancement of existing client relationships.
Support the practice groups in routine analysis and reporting of practice and industry competition, market trends, internal financial information, business opportunities, and pitch activity in efforts to develop and implement internal and external strategies both globally and by region.
Collaborate with lawyers, BD, and public relations teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiatives.
Disseminate relevant sector, market, and client trends internally.
Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged information.
