Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Manager to join the Learning + Professional Development team. You will lead design, development, and delivery of professional skills, leadership, and career development programs for the firm's staff and lawyers, with select offerings for clients.

The role partners with Practice Groups and GO Team departments, translating business needs into practical, scalable solutions. Expertise in instructional design, facilitation, and program management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in learning and development or related fields.
• Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating professional skills and leadership programs.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and facilitation.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with senior leaders.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and consult with stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with leaders to identify talent needs and develop growth strategies.
• Experience supervising or coaching team members in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to use data and feedback to measure program effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Commitment to inclusive learning experiences across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy for professional skills and leadership development for staff and lawyers.
• Advise Practice Groups and GO Team departments on learning needs and solutions.
• Build relationships with firm leaders and stakeholders to address evolving needs.
• Consult on competencies, career pathways, and growth opportunities.
• Develop learning objectives and materials, assessments, and resources.
• Create learning pathways using LinkedIn Learning and other resources.
• Design and manage career development resources and programs.
• Partner with internal and external vendors for high-quality learning experiences.
• Lead delivery in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
• Support onboarding, manager development, and Emerging Leaders initiatives.
• Ensure programs are delivered consistently across U.S. offices and global audiences.
• Use data to evaluate programs and drive improvements.
