Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee our biotech laboratories near Pleasanton, CA. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, manage maintenance programs, and coordinate with the China HQ to align procurement and facility strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, physics, or related field.
• 10+ years of facility management experience in biotech/pharma.
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment and lab waste disposal.
• Familiarity with GLP, OSHA, and EPA guidelines.
• Coordinate with multinational teams and manage resources effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the overall functioning of our advanced laboratory, coordinating schedules, resources, and equipment maintenance.
• Oversee inventory management and timely procurement of lab supplies and equipment.
• Develop and implement facility management strategies aligned with HQ procurement procedures.
• Collaborate with the China HQ operation team to establish a compliant procurement system.
• Coordinate with utility vendors to monitor consumption and optimize usage.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols in line with biosafety regulations.
• Develop and manage the facility budget in collaboration with HQ.
• Train personnel on safe equipment operation and emergency response.
