Atlas Data Storage is seeking a Lab Manager to oversee biology, chemistry, and engineering laboratories in South San Francisco. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, manage EH&S programs, and coordinate with facilities, suppliers, and external partners to scale laboratory infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry with 5–10 years of lab management experience, strong communication, and hands‑on expertise with lab equipment, waste handling, and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
• 5–10 years of lab management experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience leading EH&S programs and compliance.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and waste disposal.
• Familiarity with common lab equipment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of biology, chemistry, and engineering labs.
• Maintain safe, organized, and compliant lab environments.
• Ensure space, equipment and resources meet researchers' needs.
• Manage hazardous waste programs and SDS library.
• Lead EH&S initiatives and coordinate with external partners.
• Oversee maintenance, service contracts and repairs of lab equipment.
• Support shared lab services and supply coordination.
• Partner with facilities on planning and expansion.
