Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Routine Clinical Lab Manager to oversee site performance, ensuring samples are accessioned and tested promptly while meeting CAP/CLIA standards. You will act as Technical Supervisor, troubleshoot lab processes, and lead training and competency assessments for staff.

This role requires supervising technical and non-technical staff, managing actuals to budget, maintaining safety, and coordinating with Lab Director and Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science is required
• MS or PhD in chemical, biological, medical technology, or clinical laboratory science preferred
• 2 years supervisory experience required
• Broad understanding of hematology coagulation, routine chemistry, immunoassay

Responsibilities

• Supervise technical and non-technical lab staff.
• Manage actuals to budget: materials, labor, overtime, and travel.
• Maintain communication with Sales and Leadership about lab operations.
• Ensure employees have clear daily/weekly/monthly duties.
• Ensure compliance with lab, safety and company policies.
• Collaborate with HR to resolve complaints and issues.
• Provide tools and supplies to complete jobs efficiently.
• Share best practices across all lab locations.
• Document competency assessments per CAP/CLIA requirements.
• Maintain compliance documentation and logs.
