Job summary

SEG Solar, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer to oversee global manufacturing IT infrastructure. You will manage server hardware, virtualization clusters, network architecture, and security programs to ensure reliable operations across US and Asia regions.

Responsibilities include planning and governing full lifecycle O&M of factory IT, implementing standardized monitoring, DR/BCP, and cross-site connectivity. Travel to Indonesia, the Philippines, and China is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
Proficiency in English as the working language. Must be based in the U.S. and able to travel annually to Indonesia, the Philippines, and China.
Minimum 5 years in IT infrastructure build and O&M, with 3+ years in PV/manufacturing environments preferred.
Proficient with server hardware, virtualization platforms, and cross-region backup & DR architectures.
Strong knowledge of factory industrial Ethernet, switches, firewalls, and WAN connectivity.
Familiar with ITIL O&M, monitoring/alerting, and AI-driven process optimization.
Understanding of US data privacy and cross-border data transfer rules.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement and operate IT infrastructure across solar module factories, warehouses, and offices in US and Asia.
Lead upgrades and optimization of server clusters, cabling, and lifecycle management.
Design and deploy cross-site virtualization, high-availability backup, and disaster recovery systems.
Establish standardized O&M monitoring, alerting, and SLA improvements (MTTR, incident rate).
Drive security/compliance initiatives for US and international operations.
