Job summary

SEG Solar, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead general ledger activities, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The role collaborates with the Accounting Manager, Controller, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate records and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years in accounting within manufacturing or corporate settings, fluent in English and Mandarin, and proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or corporate environment.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with ERP and/or accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash activity and perform bank reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation calculations.
• Manage inventory accounting, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assist with annual audits, tax requests, and other compliance-related activities.
