Job summary

You will lead global IP programs, collaborate with executive leadership, R&D, and outside counsel to protect inventions, manage the portfolio, and drive value across product roadmaps. The role emphasizes strategic thinking, risk management, and the ability to translate complex IP issues into actionable

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Registered Patent Attorney status preferred.
• Technical degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive intellectual property experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise executive leadership on IP strategy, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
• Develop enterprise-wide IP strategies to support growth and innovation.
• Lead invention harvesting, filing strategy, and portfolio pruning.
• Direct patent prosecution, licensing, technology transfer, and disputes.
• Oversee freedom-to-operate, patentability, and competitive landscape assessments.
• Collaborate with legal, business, R&D to integrate IP into planning.
