Job summary

Entegris, Inc. is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel to guide global IP strategy and protect the company’s innovation portfolio. You will partner with executive leadership, R&D, and business units to align IP with technology investments and commercialization plans.

You will oversee invention harvesting, filing, and strategic decisions across U.S. and international matters, while advising on licensing, disputes, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Registered Patent Attorney status strongly preferred.
• Engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics or related technical discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal advisor to executive leadership on IP strategy, risk management, and portfolio optimization for critical business units.
• Develop and lead enterprise-wide IP strategies that support long-term growth and innovation.
• Architect strategic approaches to complex IP matters where information is incomplete and risks are high.
• Lead invention harvesting, filing strategy, drafting, prosecution, and portfolio pruning to align IP investments with business priorities.
• Direct patent agents, technical experts, and outside counsel for U.S. and international patent matters.
• Lead freedom-to-operate, patentability, validity, and competitive landscape assessments with actionable recommendations.
