Job summary

Entegris, Inc. seeks a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel to lead the global IP strategy, guiding critical decisions affecting long-term innovation and competitive position. You will partner with executives, R&D, and business units to align IP with technology investments and product roadmaps.

You will manage invention harvesting, patent prosecution, licensing, and disputes, directing internal and external teams to maximize IP value and support growth across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Registered Patent Attorney status strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related technical field.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive IP experience.
• Experience developing and leading IP strategy for technology-driven organizations.
• Proven patent portfolio management, licensing, and dispute experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior leaders on IP strategy, risk, and portfolio optimization.
• Develop and lead enterprise IP strategies supporting growth and differentiation.
• Lead patent, trade secret, licensing, and dispute matters across the company.
• Collaborate with legal, business, engineering, and R&D functions.
• Oversee invention harvesting, drafting, prosecution, and portfolio pruning.
• Direct external counsel and patent agents for US/international filings.
• Lead FTO, novelty, and landscape assessments with actionable guidance.
• Structure IP provisions in JV, licensing, and collaboration agreements.
• Support IP disputes, enforcement, and trade secret protection.
• Provide training on invention disclosure quality and IP risk awareness.
