Job summary

Entegris, Inc. seeks a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel to serve as the enterprise IP expert, guiding strategy, risk, and portfolio optimization. You will partner with executives, R&D and business leaders to align IP with innovation and growth goals across global operations.

You will lead patent and licensing work, manage complex disputes, and mentor teams while shaping the company’s long-term technology investments and protections.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Registered Patent Attorney status preferred.
• Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise executive leadership on IP strategy, risk, and portfolio optimization.
• Develop and lead enterprise IP strategies aligned with growth and innovation.
• Address complex IP matters with incomplete information and high impact.
• Lead patent, trade secret, licensing, and technology transfer matters.
• Drive IP strategy for emerging technologies and future initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory and competitive developments affecting IP posture.
• Partner with legal, business, engineering, and R&D functions.
• Serve as IP partner to designated business units in product reviews.
• Lead invention harvesting, filing strategy, and portfolio pruning.
• Direct patent teams and outside counsel for US/international filings.
• Lead FTO, patentability, validity, clearance analyses; provide recommendations.
• Structure IP provisions in joint development, licensing, and collaboration agreements.
• Support IP disputes, including infringement detection and enforcement.
• Commission landscape analyses and train inventors on disclosures.
• Represent Entegris in external engagements.
