Job summary

Entegris, Inc. is seeking a senior intellectual property leader to guide global IP strategy, protect critical technologies, and drive value across core business units. You will partner with executive leadership, R&D, and external counsel to shape invention strategies, patent filings, and licensing activities.

The role requires deep expertise in patent law, portfolio management, and strategic risk assessment to enable product development and commercialization across international markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive intellectual property experience in law firm or corporate legal dept.
• Experience leading IP strategy for technology-driven organizations.
• Proven patent portfolio management, licensing, and IP transactions.
• Experience prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications and directing external counsel.
• Experience negotiating IP terms in joint development and licensing agreements.
• Global operations experience with international portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal advisor on IP strategy, risk management, and portfolio optimization for critical units.
• Develop enterprise-wide IP strategies supporting long-term growth and competitive differentiation.
• Lead invention harvesting, filing strategy, drafting, prosecution, and portfolio pruning.
• Direct patent agents, technical experts, and outside counsel for US/international matters.
• Lead freedom-to-operate analyses, patentability, and competitive landscape assessments.
• Negotiate IP provisions in joint development, licensing, and technology transfer agreements.
• Represent Entegris in external engagements with customers, partners, and universities.

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Admissions to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Registered Patent Attorney status

Engineering/Science technical degree (Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics)
