Job summary

Amer Sports Corporation is seeking a Manager, Financial Controller to govern inventory accounting standards, costing policy, and reserve methodology across its global portfolio. This hands-on, cross-brand role sits within FP&A and reports to the Director of Inventory, with a dotted line to the CAO.

The role requires deep inventory accounting expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive scalable processes in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including inventory and manufacturing finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) required.
• Experience in multinational operations across multiple countries or regions.
• Deep understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial processes.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (SOX) and cycle counting programs.

Responsibilities

• Define global governance of standard cost setting and policy compliance for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across brands.
• Build and maintain a global PPV framework for calculation, reporting, and accountability.
• Design and maintain the global reserve rate methodology by brand and product category.
• Define global governance for inventory accounting policy and internal controls across all brands and sites.
• Oversee annual physical inventories and develop a formal cycle counting program.
• Partner with Brand Controllers and GBS to apply inventory controls and remediation across sites.
