Job summary

Amer Sports is seeking a Manager, Financial Controller to govern inventory accounting standards, costing policy, and reserve methodology across a global portfolio. This hands-on role demands technical depth, cross-brand collaboration, and the ability to operate with limited oversight within a multinational framework.

You will lead the standard cost and PPV processes, design reserve methodologies, and drive internal controls and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including inventory and manufacturing finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent).
• Experience in multinational operations across multiple countries or regions.
• Deep understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial processes.
• SOX internal controls experience and cycle counting familiarity.
• Experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA).

Responsibilities

• Define global governance of inventory accounting standards, costing policy, and reserve methodology across the global portfolio.
• Lead the annual standard cost roll process and monitor mid-year adjustments for compliance.
• Build and maintain a global PPV framework for calculation, reporting, and accountability.
• Design and maintain the global reserve rate methodology by brand and product category.
• Define global governance for inventory accounting policy and internal controls across brands and entities.
• Oversee physical inventories and implement a formal cycle counting program across sites.
• Partner with Brand Controllers and GBS on inventory journals, reconciliations, and close activities.
