Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the execution of new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within the Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability (GEMS) Organization. The role leads a team of support personnel and coordinates resources to meet timelines, budgets, and standardization goals across the network.

Applicants should be prepared for up to 80% nationwide travel and be willing to work from a corporate office when not traveling; relocation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• Experience in Construction or a related field with demonstrated expertise in budgets, project scheduling, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations.
• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery.
• Owns program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate.
• Influence design and development of strategic processes.
• Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and governs the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub-task.
• Provide accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary.
• Responsible for overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live.
• Position includes travel up to 80% (Nationwide)
• This position requires a valid US driver’s license.
