Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Industry & Experiential Marketing Lead to shape OpenAI’s presence across the global advertising industry, building relationships with associations, agencies, and executives, and delivering programs that build understanding and demand for OpenAI’s advertising solutions.

You will own the global industry events portfolio, develop thought leadership partnerships, and connect engagement to commercial outcomes, collaborating with Sales and the centralized Events & Experiences team

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing or related roles.
• Strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem.
• Track record of developing industry partnerships.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional programs.
• Strong strategic and creative judgment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with senior executives.
• Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience measuring program success and guiding investments.

Responsibilities

• Define the global industry engagement strategy and identify key organizations and moments.
• Build strategic industry relationships with advertising trade associations and industry partners.
• Own the advertising industry events portfolio: conferences, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, activations.
• Create distinctive experiences like executive gatherings, forums, and roundtables.
• Lead program strategy, audience development, briefs, and engagement plans with Events & Experiences team.
• Develop thought leadership partnerships with industry groups and internal teams.
• Shape executive participation and prepare senior leaders for speaking opportunities.
• Connect engagement efforts to commercial outcomes with Sales and Vertical Marketing.
• Build and lead the function, manage external partners, budgets, and processes.
