Job summary

Mohawk Global in Chicago is seeking an Import Transportation Coordinator to independently manage international air and ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery. You will serve as the primary operational contact for customers, overseas partners, carriers, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, and internal teams, ensuring shipment visibility, compliance, and service excellence.

Responsibilities include coordinating documentation, customs coordination, dispatching, and scheduling;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• Experience in international transportation, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational contact for customers and partners, providing proactive shipment updates and issue resolution.
• Maintain shipment visibility and communicate delays, exceptions, and milestones.
• Identify transportation solutions balancing customer requirements, service expectations, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate international air and ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Manage shipment documentation, customs clearance coordination, dispatching, and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data in CargoWise and related systems.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and service standards; support continuous improvement initiatives.
