Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an Import/Export Specialist to manage end-to-end international logistics for US and Canada locations.

You will prepare customs documentation, coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers, and ensure timely clearance and accurate invoicing. The role requires 3+ years in international transportation/logistics, strong vendor management, and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in international transportation/logistics coordination.
• Experience coordinating US and Canada imports/exports incl. international transportation and customs.
• Strong knowledge of international logistics principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA and TSA regulations.
• Proficiency with logistics software/tools (ERP, carrier portals, WMS, TMS).
• Familiarity with AV equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end daily international inbound/outbound logistics for AV equipment across US/Canada.
• Plan and coordinate shipments with AVI-SPL locations, warehouses, PMs, Procurement, vendors, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Sales, Operations, Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, and Tech Support on shipment requirements.
• Coordinate international transportation including Air, Ocean, Parcel to ensure timely movement from origin to delivery.
• Review quotes, verify rates against vendor agreements and tariffs.
• Tender and book shipments through approved TMS and portals; confirm shipment details.
