Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Logistics Coordinator for our Buffalo, NY operations. You will manage domestic and international shipments, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to meet delivery timelines.

This role requires strong knowledge of HTS, Incoterms, and experience with ERP systems; you will monitor costs, prepare shipping documents, and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (preferable).
• 2–5 years of import/export or international logistics experience.
• Knowledge of Incoterms®, international shipping regulations, and customs compliance.
• Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Strong understanding of transportation management and logistics processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Acumatica, or similar).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international and domestic shipments via air, ocean, rail, and ground transportation.
• Prepare and review import/export documentation including: Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Export Declarations, Customs documentation.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, international trade regulations, and company policies.
• Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate customs clearance.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation delays or issues.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and warehouses.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and logistics reports.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and Sales to meet delivery schedules.
• Verify freight invoices and approve transportation charges.
• Maintain HTS classifications and country-of-origin records.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation related to inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
