Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Defense Systems Division in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Import and Export Coordinator to manage international shipments of US export-controlled goods and ensure compliance with EAR and ITAR. This role works at the manufacturing site handling documentation, licensing, and cross-functional coordination.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in US import/export operations, familiarity with EEI submissions to ACE, HTS/ECCN classification, and strong organizational skills to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related technical field with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and operations including HTS, Schedule B, ECCN.
• Experience submitting EEI to ACE Portal.
• Organized, detail oriented, able to drive on-time delivery goals.
• Knowledge of FDA, EAR, ITAR, OFAC and other government agencies.
• Experience with record-keeping requirements and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligible for DoD security clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage import/export clearance, including shipping docs and customs declarations.
• Serve as central point of contact for export/import transactions at the site.
• Interface with freight forwarders, customs brokers to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and maintain export/import documentation.
• Submit EEI to ACE Portal for export transactions.
• Monitor shipments from origin to destination and resolve issues.
• Monitor license utilization, decrement and closure.
• Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of imports.
• Assist Trade Compliance Officer with HTS/ECCN classification decisions.
• Support MRO team and coordinate shipments of 9801 US goods returns.
• Maintain import/export records and logs; audit entries (7501) for accuracy.
