Construction Specialties, Inc. is seeking an Import/Export Coordinator to support international shipping operations from the Del Rio, TX area. You will act as a central contact for inter-company inquiries, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliance with customs and export regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Industry experience is preferred, but willing to train a skilled candidate.
• Must be able to build positive working relationships both internally and externally.
• Ability to excel in a team environment.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provides pro-active customer service to ensure that international and inter-company orders are processed quickly and efficiently to ensure that shipping deadlines are met.
• Coordinates international shipments and prepares necessary documentation for customs compliance and shipping.
• Resolves customer inquiries, complaints, or problems, as relates to delivery and shipping details, seeking advice from internal departments as necessary.
• Coordinates creation of necessary shipping paperwork and international documentation for each shipment.
• Communicates and coordinates freight movement with shipping companies and freight forwarders.
• Transmits required U.S. Government information via the Automated Export System.
• Performs 3rd party screening to ensure compliance with U.S. Export Controls.
• Understands all aspects of INCO Terms and resolves discrepancies promptly.
• Stays current with training for safe handling of hazardous materials and compliance procedures.
