Job summary

Mallory Alexander International Logistics is seeking an Import Specialist, Customs, to prepare and submit customs entries to CBP and coordinate the clearance process for shipments into the United States. The role requires collaboration with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure compliant and timely clearance.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field and several years of customs or import operations experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, import operations, or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification.
• Proficiency in CargoWise One preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries for imported shipments to CBP in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Determine HTS classifications and applicable duty rates.
• Coordinate with CBP, steamship lines, freight forwarders, and internal teams for clearance.
• Maintain shipment and customs documentation in CargoWise One.
• Handle related accounting processes, including invoicing and freight bills.
