Mallory Alexander International Logistics is seeking a Logistics Professional to join our team as an Import Customs Brokerage Entry Writer. You will prepare, review, and process import entries, ensuring compliance with U.S.

Customs and agency requirements, and coordinate clearance and delivery of shipments. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, HTS/Oga data, interfacing with customers, tracking shipments, issuing delivery orders, and handling invoicing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant U.S. customs experience and knowledge of regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in CargoWise One.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.
• Attention to detail and strong time management.
• Customs Broker License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customs entries for shipments submitted to U.S. Customs.
• Review import documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify products subject to OGA’s and derive HTS classifications.
• Interface with customers on CBP, OGA delivery and irregularities.
• Track and trace shipments; coordinate with steamship lines and forwarders.
• Issue delivery orders; arrange trucking for pickup and delivery.
• Handle invoicing and freight bill approval.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Mallory Alexander International Logistics , a global third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking a Logistics Professional to join our growing team.

The Import Customs Brokerage Entry Writer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing import customs entries, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and applicable government agency requirements, and coordinating the timely clearance, transportation, and delivery of imported shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare customs entries for all shipments to be submitted to U.S. Customs in a timely manner.
• Reviewimport documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other supporting documents, for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Identify products subject to OGA’s.
• Derives Harmonized schedule tariff and enter OGA/PGA data.
• Interface with customers on CBP, OGA delivery and irregularities.
• Manage daily tracking report for open shipments.
• Track and trace shipments and coordinate with the steamship lines, freight forwarders and CFS on the availability of imported shipments.
• Issue delivery orders, arrange with trucking companies for pick-up and delivery.
• Handle accounting processes including the issuance of invoices and freight bill approval.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
• Customs Broker License is a plus, but not required
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of current U.S. Customs regulations and Harmonized Tariff Codes
• Proficiency in CargoWise One
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
