JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Import Specialist in Houston, TX. The role focuses on processing air and ocean import shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and company procedures, and supporting related customs transactions at times.

Responsibilities include handling documents, tracking shipments, invoicing, and coordinating with vendors and clients to deliver on time with quality service.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years' experience handling imports (air and/or ocean) or combination of education and expertise required.
• Experience and knowledge regarding imports, compliance, rules and regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of US customs laws,ISF and Incoterms preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review and process import documents ensuring accuracy and proper sequencing.
• Receive and track bookings/shipments; update clients on status and delivery; collect POD and invoices.
• Bill/invoice files to customers with attention to payment terms.
• Resolve and reconcile payables with vendors and overseas offices; assist sales and managers.
• Provide accurate job costing forecasts and ensure payables/receivables are managed per policy.
• Provide responsive customer service and maintain communication with truckers during delivery.
