Job summary

Demand For HR is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead multi-state payroll and HR operations across the United States, with support for Canada and India. You will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with employment laws, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding across regions.

This hybrid role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on implementation of HR processes, and ability to operate in a fast-growth startup environment with global teams in Canada, India, and the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, accounting, or related field.
• HR certification PHR or SPHR; SHRM considered an asset.
• 5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years of multi-state payroll management (USA; Canada/India a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead US payroll across multiple states and support Canada/India.
• Ensure compliance with state wage laws, exemptions, and wage standards.
• Oversee HRIS/ATS data integrity, reports, and system enhancements.
• Manage onboarding, employee records, and lifecycle changes.
• Support audits, policy development, and risk mitigation.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and employee relations.
