Job summary

Canonical is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration and publishes Ubuntu. We seek a Graduate HR Generalist to support the AMER region from a remote setting.

You will provide HR support, manage onboarding, administer benefits, and liaise with payroll while contributing to global projects and GDPR compliance. You will work with managers and executives as a true global partner, helping to shape our People strategy and drive continuous process improvements within a growing, globally

Qualifications

• Internship experience in HR/People teams is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritise complex workloads and work under pressure.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and ability to handle confidential data.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support by answering questions about employment and contracts.
• Maintain HRIS with accuracy and timely changes for joiners.
• Own global projects (engagement, training, culture initiatives).
• Partner with managers to support HR processes and people strategy.
• Support employees for benefits enrollment and payroll data.
• Coordinate onboarding with country-specific documentation.
• Ensure GDPR-compliant employment files and audits.
