Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP seeks a Hire-to-Retire Global Process Owner (GPO) to lead end-to-end H2R lifecycle governance for recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and offboarding. You will partner with HR, IT, and business units to standardize processes and drive data-driven improvements.

Lead global policy development, oversee automation initiatives, and ensure compliance across regions. This role offers strategic impact and opportunities to shape a modern, compliant employee experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across HR operations, payroll, or shared services.
• Global process ownership experience and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience implementing AI, automation, and HR technology solutions is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/HRM or professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global H2R vision and strategy, serving as the single point of accountability for end-to-end process governance across recruiting, onboarding, development, payroll, and offboarding.
• Establish and maintain global H2R policies, controls, and service standards for consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Coach and develop next-level leaders and SMEs, building organizational capability and reliable service delivery.
• Design and standardize H2R processes, data models, and policies to support scalability and operational excellence.
• Deploy automation, self-service, and analytics tools to enhance speed, transparency, and user experience.
• Drive continuous improvement and process mining to simplify complexity and elevate the employee experience.
• Embed compliance, data privacy, and audit requirements into H2R systems and workflows, including GDPR and labor reporting.
• Oversee third-party providers and scorecards, ensuring SLAs and governance are met.
• Maintain H2R KPI dashboards and reporting for payroll accuracy, onboarding, and service satisfaction.
